Things Change, Things Stay the Same

A lot has happened. In the last month, few months, and in the last year or so since I wrote a blog post! I’ll put some important updates first, and then continue with thoughts and ramblings after.

  • I still require a rapid covid test before in person sessions. I had been requiring Lucira brand tests for better accuracy at the start of 2025, but they’re no longer available. I may try to implement PCR testing, but the logistics are difficult.

  • My studio is still in uptown Minneapolis. And I’m getting a second space, in the same building! This expands options and space for all sorts of play. I’m still deciding on what themes and furniture will go where, but the secondary space will likely be available in June. I will also be making one or both studio spaces available to rent for other adult workers.

  • I no longer shop with Amazon AT ALL or Target. Target has been harder to transition away from, for everything from toiletries to groceries to studio supplies, but I believe I’ll be sourcing most studio supplies from hardware and medical supply stores.

  • Traveling for sessions is likely on hold indefinitely.

While the political and economic landscape of the USA and the world shifts around us, my life continues on. My health has been… ok. I’m still chronically ill (no surprise, considering the chronic part), but symptom management is steady now and overall I’m able to schedule all my appointments with the appropriate doctors. I did get covid for the FIFTH time last fall, from what was an asymptomatic and/or false negative rapid test transmission around my birthday, and it did knock me on my ass for a few months, but I think I’m sort of back to my normal. However, I can’t keep risking repeated infections and possibly worsening my already present health issues or adding new ones, so I’m being even more covid cautious. It’s not fun and it sucks, but my health is always my priority.

I’m thinking really hard about putting my money where my mouth is, which is why I no longer use Amazon. And after Target decided to preemptively pull DEI, I decided to pull my money out of there. DEI in business isn’t the start or end of business, and in general I don’t think that corporations are benevolent, but it felt like such a pointedly dick move in a time of rising xenophobia and homophobia. It’s possible I wouldn’t care so much if Target wasn’t such a “local” part of Minnesota, or if they hadn’t scaled back their Pride collection to a nominal, abysmal money grab from the gays in 2024, or especially if Target wasn’t involved in a giant surveillance program that specifically targeted Black people, but here we are. I’d already pretty much stopped using Walmart except here or there, or when in the more rural areas I come from, but I will continue to not shop there. I’m focusing on small businesses and local businesses. I’ve always been fairly conservative with my own finances, but when I do spend “fun money”, I want it to be more in line with my own values, like fair labor practices, sustainability and/or lower environmental impacts, supporting arts and artists, and so on.

Another thing I’m thinking about is where I spend my time and attention. Specifically, what media, social media, and other things take my focus? Is my attention all algorithmically funneled? I’m trying to switch to more long form essays and reading again, as opposed to scrolling instagram or twitter (I essentially no longer use twitter; I don’t scroll it, I rarely tweet outside of auto tweets, and I only occasionally check my mentions). I stopped using tiktok completely after it was outlawed and then granted clemency from Trump. Even blue sky, which offers what they call “algorithmic choice” along with a chronological feed, can be a time suck or a not-so-healthy echo chamber. I thought substack would be better, but it’s a mixed bag. Which does NOT mean I never sit and watch a bunch of silly videos on Instagram, because I am only human and humans really love a little makeup tutorial video or 60 second comedy skit now and then. But I am trying to be more mindful of how and when I sit and zone out, as well as saving time and energy for reading and supporting things that truly interest me.

Stay tuned, as I plan to make a semi-regular series of posts about what I’m reading and watching, including the porn, since a lot of it is porn. What can I say? I love pornography. It’s part of why I make it! And I truly believe that porn is one of our purest expressions of self and imagination, from the disgusting to the outlandish to the wholesome. Maybe I’ll write more on that sometime, too.

New, new studio, and more plans

New, new studio? That’s right! I moved studios / dungeon spaces last year over the month of August, and was excited about potential in that space and had done some work to start some projects there. But things change, and over this month I’ve been setting up a new, new place in uptown Minneapolis. And starting April, all of my appointments will be there!

The two most exciting parts about this new studio: I’ll have more flexibility with scheduling at my new space, and I will be able to have my BDSM equipment in one area, a nice little office type space, and an ABDL nursery, all available but somewhat separated! The new dungeon will provide a lot of possibilities for what can be done, and I’m looking forward to it.

Besides painting the new studio and getting moved into it, I’ve still been taking appointments, getting my taxes ready, trying to troubleshoot my laptop and work around its failings while I figure that out, filming, and so much more. Not to mention dealing with this onslaught of snow! And lastly, I will be spending time with some friends in early April; I’m traveling to see the upcoming solar eclipse. It’s a longer trip, so I’ll be unavailable April 4 - 12 (but I’ll try to answer emails and contact form submissions at least once during that time).

What a time

I’ve had tumultuous time with schedules, illnesses, plans, travels, and much more lately. Here’s the bullet points summary:

  • I was not feeling well enough to take appointments by August 21 like I’d hoped. The covid fatigue was brutal.

  • I went to the north shore, finally started feeling normal again, my cat had a medical emergency, and then my spouse got Covid.

  • I was planning to be in Paris NOW with my mother, but the day I was supposed to fly, I got a fever, runny nose, cough, aches, all the bullshit, and had to cancel.

  • Several days and covid tests later, it looks like I don’t have covid, my fever is gone, and I’m improving.

  • I am scheduling appointments in my new studio space in north Minneapolis, as well as for Denver on September 30 and October 1.

What a time it’s been! It has not been a fun one, but it’s been a time! Yes, I’m obviously bummed to miss traveling with my mom to Paris. But I couldn’t tell if I had covid (again) or something else, how sick I would be on the international flight and in Paris, or if I’d get my mom or anyone else sick. So canceling was definitely the best choice.

I am excited about my trip to Denver - now is the time to get appointments made and deposits sent as I have such a limited time to take sessions while there. Fetish, BDSM, Femdom, kink, scat, ABDL, or some combination can be planned for ahead of time! I could even potentially do forced bi and/or cuckolding, or Mommy/Daddy duo scenes, as I’ll be traveling with my duo partner Alex Knight.

All of this brouhaha with sickness, travel plans made and canceled, and so on, has me uncertain if I want to plan a tour for November or December. However, I’m open to discussing Fly Me To You trips for then, or in 2024 as well.

Covid Positive and Moving Dungeons

Seattle was so much fun! Unfortunately, I got covid and started showing symptoms not long after I returned home. My main symptom persisting now is the fatigue and breathlessness/dizziness, but that too seems to be improving every day. As I am a susceptible person with a compromised immune system, this is a sign to me that I need to buy better quality masks as well as a portable, battery bowered HEPA air filter that I can take with me while I fly. This is also a reminder of why it’s so important to me that everyone takes a rapid test before appointments with me! Though my symptoms have improved a lot, I’ve been very unwell, so I can’t work or do anything fun.

In much better news, I’m moving dungeon spaces! My new studio will still be in Minneapolis (not too far from the old space) and still be shared with another Mistress. It’s also still getting set up and ready for all the perversion about to come its way. Since I’m fatigued from being ill, I haven’t been able to make much progress. However, I hope to be taking appointments by August 21!

One more piece of good news - in Seattle, Alex Knight and I filmed with some fantastic models for some spicy new ABDL videos. I look forward to releasing those as we get them edited, as well as some solo femdom videos I’ve been making.

Back (injury) At It

I injured my back a little over a week ago. However, I’m healing up and I’m back at it! I’m taking sessions (currently scheduling June 5 and onward) as well as requests for custom content.

I’ve also answered all my backlog of emails. If you’re waiting for a response for me, check your spam folder, and if I still haven’t replied to you, please send me a follow up email as your message may have gotten lost. My contact form on my website goes to my email.
